About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team at Lynca Meats. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's stock control function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of stock takes, and providing variance analysis reporting and improvement recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, with experience in a FMCG/production/manufacturing and/or financial services sector. Advanced Excel knowledge and experience with server reporting services report builder are essential. A strong demonstrated knowledge of statistics and ability to design and implement useful reporting tools to assist decision-making processes are also required.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate and reliable financial reports
  • Provide analytical support to management to inform business decisions
  • Identify areas of risk and improve processes
  • Manage and report on stock aging and write-offs
  • Collaborate with production department, finance department, and management to manage and report on stock
Requirements
  • Grade 12 qualification
  • B. Com (Accounting or Financial Management) degree
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in cost accounting in a FMCG/production/manufacturing and/or financial services sector
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Experience with server reporting services report builder
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and data interpretation
