About the RoleThis Field Claims Assessor role involves determining claim quantum and merit, verifying client information, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. You'll need to possess excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations, verifying client information and event descriptions;
- Analyze risk and provide recommendations to underwriting;
- Plan assessments, make necessary arrangements, and interact with clients;
- Determine the need for specialist expertise;
- Provide risk assessments and negotiate settlements;
- Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, resolving claims in a timely manner;
- MATRIC (Grade 12) with Mathematics;
- Short-term insurance qualification (NQF4) plus completed Digital Non-motor Assessors Skills Programme;
- Certified Fraud Examiner qualification advantageous;
- Five (5) years' or more relevant experience at digital non-motor level (full spectrum), field assessing experience advantageous;
- OR Seven (7) or more years' relevant claims assessment experience (non-motor) (full spectrum);
- All relevant product training completed;
- Familiarity with IM external systems;
- Ability to do investigations on buildings, its contents, and fire;
