Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and manage K9s for various operational tasks, ensuring their readiness for diverse missions.
  • Conduct patrols and searches to maintain and enhance security measures, safeguarding individuals and assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of training and incidents, providing valuable insights for future improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members on strategies for effective K9 deployment, leveraging collective expertise to drive success.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Matric or Grade 12 equivalent qualification (NQF level 4).
  • Possess a K9 / Dog Handler training certificate (DH1-2).
  • Be registered with PSiRA (minimum Grade C).
  • Hold a SAPS Competency Certificate.
  • Provide a PTFC statement of results, demonstrating proficiency in handgun use for business purposes and knowledge of the Firearms Act.
  • Pursuing further education in policing or investigations is highly beneficial.
  • Must have own transportation.
