Job Description:

We are partnering with a leading hospital in Cork to fill the role of Senior Respiratory Physiologist.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a lead role in a state-of-the-art Pulmonary lab with a warm, team-centred culture.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective running of a high-quality diagnostic service in the Respiratory + Sleep Laboratory.

Please note that relocation to Ireland is required and a full relocation package is provided.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the Pulmonary Laboratory, technical staff, and clinical workload.
  2. Manage quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) requirements of the Pulmonary Laboratory.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant consultants and management teams.
  4. Ensure timely and accurate clinical output from the Pulmonary Laboratory.
  5. Perform a range of diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  6. Collaborate with the Respiratory Clinical Lead in developing and implementing evidence-based protocols.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
  2. Recognition by IICMP, the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS), is an advantage for candidates qualified outside of Ireland.
  3. Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) or equivalent.
  4. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior role within a similar field.
