As a Quality Assurance Specialist at the National Regulator for Compulsory Specification, you will play a critical role in ensuring that products comply with compulsory specifications and technical regulations. Your primary responsibility will be to administer these specifications by monitoring compliance through inspections and/or evaluations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor compliance with compulsory specifications and technical regulations.
  • Appropriate sanctions for non-compliance.
  • Process applications for letters of certificates, sales permits, and market surveillance inspections.
  • National Regulator for Compulsory Specification Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Will be required to undergo training for a period of 18 – 24 months.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of the NRCS Act.
  • Sound knowledge of legislation and regulations related to the area of specialty.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Ability to use judgment.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Planning and organizing.
