Job Title: Yard Manager

Job Summary:

Zeebra Junction Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Manager to oversee the daily operations of our building materials supplier branch in Hoedspruit, Limpopo. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing equipment and materials, conducting weekly inventory, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize equipment and materials in the yard
  • Conduct weekly inventory of bulk materials
  • Purchase, receive, and store bulk materials properly
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the shop and yard
  • Facilitate truck maintenance and trailers
  • Conduct weekly shop safety inspections
  • Oversee material waste and dumpster pickups
  • Daily deliveries to job sites (if required)

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in a trade (construction, building, etc.) preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Broad understanding of the construction and home building industry
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team
  • Dependable
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience in shop or yard management
  • Building or civil construction knowledge
