Job Title: Medical Biller

St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking a skilled Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient account files, ensuring that charges and insurance are properly processed, and maintaining the highest level of patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Review patient account files to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Process adjustments and refunds on paid accounts
  • Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up with patients and insurance companies as needed
  • Prepare and submit billing reports to management and external auditors
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in Medicare and Medicaid regulations and ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of medical billing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices, as well as basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office and Excel
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
