Key Responsibilities
  • Machining Operations: Operate production machining on high-precision CNC turning and milling machines, interpreting specifications and making judgments about the acceptability of production.
  • CNC Programming: Develop and implement CNC programs for production machining operations, adhering to defined manufacturing guidelines and processes.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that all production activities meet established quality standards and EHS requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • A valid Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner or Toolmaker is required.
  • Grade 12 or relevant equivalent tertiary qualification is also necessary.
  • More than 5 years of extensive experience on conventional and CNC machines, including high precision surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, EDM Wire Cutter, turning and milling machines is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls is essential.
