We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electrical and mechatronic systems for international projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing medium and heavy-duty truck chassis harnesses using 3D CAD and 2D schematic software.
- Creating vehicle electrical systems designs, including 3D wiring design in Siemens NX.
- Integrating electrical components and preparing bill of materials (BOM).
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A B. Eng or BTech in Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering.
- More than 2 years of working experience in Electrical/Mechatronic design of equipment/parts.
- A solid understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes, weld symbols, and machining symbols.
