Job SummaryThis Radiologic Technologist position plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality imaging services for our patients. As a member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, operating imaging equipment, and producing high-quality images that aid in accurate diagnoses.
You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and effective care coordination.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams, including positioning, instructing, and obtaining informed consent as necessary.
- Operate imaging equipment, such as computed radiography and direct imaging devices, to produce high-quality images.
- Evaluate images to ensure they meet diagnostic quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
- Position patients and equipment to achieve optimal image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Select proper technical factors and calculate dosages to achieve desired image results.
- Assist physicians with specialized examinations, such as preparing equipment and administering contrast media.
- Document patient information, exam details, and image quality metrics accurately and efficiently.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong foundation in radiologic technology and excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- RTR licensure in Massachusetts (temporary or permanent)
- ARRT certification in Radiology within 12 months of hire
- BLS certification
- Experience with imaging equipment and software preferred
