We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack PHP Expert to join our dynamic team at JenRec Recruitment. As a Senior Laravel Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing high-quality software solutions, leading development projects, and mentoring junior developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Architect Complex Web Applications: Utilize your expertise in the Laravel framework to architect and develop complex web applications and APIs.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring timely delivery and maximum quality.
  • Optimize Application Performance: Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability, using your knowledge of database design and query optimization techniques.
  • Write Clean and Efficient Code: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices, including test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug Complex Issues: Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in a timely manner, utilizing your problem-solving skills and experience with debugging tools.
  • Mentor Junior Developers: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and provide guidance on coding standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development with at least 3 years working with Laravel.
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of the Laravel framework, including Eloquent, Blade, and Artisan.
  • Frontend Skills: Experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, Livewire, and Alpine.js.
  • Database: Strong experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, database design, and query optimization.
  • Tools: Proficient with version control systems like Git. Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
  • APIs: Experience building RESTful APIs and working with third-party APIs.
  • Testing: Strong experience with PHPUnit and TDD.
  • Security: Solid understanding of web security practices and their implementation in Laravel.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.

  • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure.
  • PHP Frameworks: Knowledge of other PHP frameworks like Symfony.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Queue Systems: Experience with queue systems like Redis or Beanstalkd.
  • Google BigQuery: Experience with Google BigQuery.
  • Open-Source Contributions: Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
