Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team at HR Genie, specializing in the development of software products tailored for the manufacturing industry.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires expertise in Python development, data processing, and AI model training. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of 4IR technologies and be passionate about their application in the manufacturing sector.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Software Development: Utilize your working knowledge of Python to create and maintain applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients.
  2. Data Processing: Manually process data, build datasets, and train AI models to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
  3. Vision Systems: Deploy and adjust vision cameras in industrial environments, requiring mechanical, software, or electrical adjustments.
  4. Documentation Creation: Develop and maintain documentation for developed software, bug fixes, and other improvements to features.
  5. Version Control: Effectively utilize version control systems to ensure seamless collaboration and project management.
  6. Active Problem-Solving: Apply strong problem-solving skills to overcome challenges during software development and investigation of bugs.
  7. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to guarantee successful project outcomes.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Remain open to learning new technologies and continuously enhance your existing skills.
  9. Travel Expectations: You may be required to travel to customer sites, both locally and internationally, depending on project requirements.
  10. Jendamark Culture: Portray a positive image of Jendamark Automation while being detail-oriented, customer-focused, and results-driven. This dedication may require working overtime to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Python.
  • Development of products used in the manufacturing/industrial sector is advantageous.
  • A deep understanding of Python, with at least 1 year of experience in creating Python applications.
  • Hands-on experience with React is advantageous.
  • Experience with manually processing data, building datasets, and training AI models is advantageous.
  • Experience with implementing vision cameras in manufacturing/industrial environments is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of version control, with experience using GitHub or Bitbucket being advantageous.
  • Experience with Notion is advantageous.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.

Earnings

The estimated salary for this role is around R700,000 - R1,000,000 per annum, based on national averages and taking into account the level of experience required.
