About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Laboratory Assistant in our Cape Town office. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our laboratory staff in ensuring that all samples are processed and analyzed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities, consistently meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will also have superb organizational skills, be able to multi-task and handle several issues simultaneously, and maintain a positive and professional attitude when dealing with escalated issues. Relevant experience will be advantageous, and you must be willing to work overtime and shifts.

About You
  • You will be required to have a Diploma or degree in food science and/or microbiology/biochemistry, Grade 12 / Matric, and currently be unemployed.
  • You must be a South African citizen, between the ages of 18-30, and have no criminal record.
  • You will need to be willing to relocate to Cape Town and have exceptional computer literacy (use of MS Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • An affinity for data analysis, high attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in completing tasks are essential qualities for this role.
  • Self-motivation and a high level of initiative are also required.
