Marketing Assistant Role

HR Genie is seeking a highly creative and driven Marketing Assistant & Copywriter to join their team in South Africa. The successful candidate will work remotely, with occasional travel to Zambia and Malawi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Develop engaging and persuasive copy for social media posts, email campaigns, blog articles, website content, and other marketing materials. Ensure all content aligns with the brand's voice and messaging guidelines.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns. Collaborate with the marketing team to improve campaign performance based on analytics. Manage and update online platforms to support the company's reputation and sales.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform content and marketing strategies. Provide actionable insights based on findings.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the marketing department with scheduling, coordinating meetings, managing collateral, and updating marketing databases. Maintain travel-related platforms and assist in document management under the direction of the Marketing Director.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing materials are consistent with the brand image. Work with designers and other team members to create visually appealing and effective marketing content.
Requirements:
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Ability to analyze data and suggest improvements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CMS and marketing tools.
  • Proven experience in marketing and copywriting.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and marketing tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new marketing trends and technologies.

The estimated salary for this role is approximately $45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
