Job Summary:

The successful candidate will support our finance team in all aspects of accounting for Ekco in Europe, from timely completion of month end to annual statutory reporting for a number of legal entities across Ireland, UK and Netherlands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts to tight deadlines and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for multiple legal entities.
  • Record financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, policies/procedures, and internal control standards.
  • Monthly P&L analytics and detailed summaries maintained to a high standard, review all clearing accounts and ensure timely clearing and correct coding.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns.
  • Complete or assist with preparation and submission of both regulatory & statutory reporting requirements.
  • You will assist and support our annual audit process.
  • Adhoc projects improving reporting & processes working individually and with the wider finance team to generate efficiencies.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (and/or with significant industry experience).
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge with financial reporting, technical accounting and analytics.
  • Understanding of financial control processes and procedures.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
  • Responsible individual who takes ownership, makes recommendations, and takes the lead on delivering efficiencies.
  • Adaptable to a changing/fast-paced working environment and comfortable with meeting tight monthly/quarterly deadlines.
  • Good business acumen and an ability to work across boundaries and cultures.
  • Fluent English speaker; Dutch speaking would be an advantage.
