Responsibilities

  1. Apply structured ITIL Framework approach to manage changes within IT systems, ensuring risks for the business and customers are minimized.
  2. Develop, maintain, and improve Change and Release Management policies, standards, RACI, processes, and procedures, providing training to staff on adherence.
  3. Conduct Emergency Change Advisory Board (ECAB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to ensure system implementation aligns with customer requirements.
  4. Prepare, maintain, and distribute the Forward Schedule of Change.
  5. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation or address plans.
  6. Develop targeted change management plans, including stakeholder and communication plans, impact management plans, training plans, and resistance management plans.
  7. Coordinate Post Implementation Review meetings for failed changes causing high-impact incidents, eliminating future reoccurrence.
  8. Provide necessary reports and statistics to business and service providers, including Quarterly Executive Dashboards, Monthly Reports, Daily Reports, and Exception Reports.
  9. Participate in audit reviews, including ITIL Maturity Assessment and ISO Audits, ensuring process adherence to SLAs.
  10. Design, configure, analyze, and update Change and Release Management workflow within BMC ITSM / Helix, reflecting current business needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT Change Management
  • Excellent ITIL knowledge and application skills
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications and Certifications

NQF 6 : 3-year Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology

Experience

5 years' experience in an IT Change Management role.

Certifications

ITIL Foundational V3 / 4
