Technical Operations Engineer Job Description

Pillango Placements is seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

  1. As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  2. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, identifying the root cause of problems and implementing solutions to prevent future issues.
  3. You will collaborate with vendors and service providers for the procurement of equipment and services.
  4. You will maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and changes, preparing reports on status, incidents, and performance for stakeholders.
  5. You will communicate clearly and concisely with team members, stakeholders, and non-technical personnel, explaining technical details in an understandable manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of computer systems and networks, including hardware, software, and networking protocols.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and non-technical personnel, explaining technical details in an understandable manner.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure systems are configured correctly and maintained properly.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborating with colleagues and clients to achieve shared goals.
  • Adaptability: Staying current with the latest industry trends and best practices to ensure we deliver the highest quality services.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Certifications: Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certification, CompTIA Security+, or other relevant network certifications.
  3. Experience: Prior experience in desktop and network support, administration, or a related field. This can vary from medium-level positions to more advanced roles requiring several years of experience.
  4. Understanding of Operating Systems: Familiarity with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), Mobile Operating Systems (Android, iOS) and their configurations.
  5. Knowledge of Systems Hardware: Proficiency in handling server and network equipment.
  6. Software Skills: Experience with monitoring and management software tools.
