Job Purpose
The Department of Agriculture seeks a highly skilled individual to manage research support services for the Senior Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma / B-Degree;
- A minimum of 3 years management experience in rendering executive support functions;
- A valid code B or higher driving licence.
Recommendation
- Proven experience in administration and executive management support functions;
- Working knowledge of how government departments function.
Key Performance Areas
- Manage Research Project Process of Programme;
- Render line administrative support services;
- Execute research, analyse information and compile complex documents;
- Provide support to the Senior Manager with regard to meetings;
- Manage resources of the Office of the Senior Manager;
- Remain up to date with applicable prescripts / policies.
Competencies
- Knowledge of project management, government practices and policies, human resource management;
- Skills needed: Proven computer literacy, written and verbal communication, independent functioning, ability to work under pressure, well organised, service orientation, trustworthy and professionalism.
