Assistant Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of a store within the Mr Price Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the overall objectives, store targets, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:- Stock Management: Ensure accurate receipt and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor. Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks and ensure adequate stock on hand. Oversee the maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
- Sales Growth and Profitability: Analyze sales and profitability reports to collaborate with management on operational action plans, increase sales performance, and monitor store expenditure. Review product performance to provide feedback and enhance sales. Identify opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness through in-store marketing, competitor shopping, and local events.
- Risk Management: Conduct compliance checks through defined processes to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures.
- Customer Experience Management: Implement customer experience processes to meet customer service standards. Ensure the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, and customer feedback.
- Leadership and Development: Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values. Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Recruit, administer, and manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.
