Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for technically defining and leading the development of complex systems across various engineering disciplines.
The Systems Engineer will ensure overall system compliance with client and internal requirements, including technical performance, lifecycle management, manufacturability, and producibility.
Responsibilities- User Requirements Specification (URS) definition & negotiation
- Break-down of URS into system-level requirements, architecture, and functional flow as well as managing requirements traceability
- Producing a Systems Engineering Management Plan
- Manage technical risk across the system lifecycle
- Performing/contracting the necessary technical studies and simulations required for investigations into potential solutions, trade-offs, or risk mitigation
- Defining/reviewing/managing sub-system specifications, technical budgets, internal and external interfaces, and interoperability requirements
- Fabrication, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (FAIT): leading the technical teams for sub-system development, ensuring technical integrity of designs, providing technical guidance, ensuring that the systems engineering processes are adhered to, and ensuring output quality
- Lead technical reviews (including PDR, CDR, PRR, QRR, and First Article Inspection)
- Perform system FMEA
- Manage safety, reliability, and logistics aspects relating to the product
- Ensure proper baseline documentation and configuration management
- Produce system-level test, verification, and qualification plans and oversee performance

The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field
- At least 10 years of experience in military product development
- 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering within a military product development environment
- Practical knowledge of requirements management and experience working with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and negotiate requirements
- Experience with validation and verification traceability
- Background in Opto-Electronic systems, such as DTV cameras or Infrared cameras
