About the Role

The Mechanical Roll Technician will provide expert maintenance and support to ensure optimal equipment availability and performance in our rolling mill operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize asset performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of safety job cards and maintenance records.
  • Participate in continuous learning and development to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and technologies.

Requirements

  • Trade-tested mechanical qualification with N3 or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-trade test experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Precision on measuring instruments and good understanding of different types of rolls.
  • Fitter and Turner skills.
