Purpose and Scope

The primary objective of this role is to meet and exceed sales targets and customer expectations throughout the selling process. To be successful, you will require a passion for the business, up-to-date product knowledge, and the ability to follow up on leads with an excellent closing ratio.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Utilize the lead management system and web-based initiatives to research markets, gather sales leads, and follow up on sales opportunities.
  2. Make contact with existing or potential customers via telephone, build a positive relationship, and create customer interest in products and services.
  3. Negotiate sales, handle objections, and close deals.
  4. Manage trade-ins and ensure correct sales administration procedures are followed after the customer has signed the offer to purchase.
  5. Conduct a pre-delivery inspection, perform a quality check, and deliver the vehicle to the customer.
  6. Develop sound relationships with manufacturer representatives and stay up-to-date with all manufacturer programs.
  7. Maintain effective oral and written communication with customers and work colleagues.
  8. Protect the company against risk.
Requirements
  • Matric Certificate
  • Unendorsed driver's license
  • A marketing or finance diploma/degree will be an advantage
  • Work experience in a dealership is essential
