Residential Custodian

As a Residential Custodian at Bridgewater Manor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our high-end retirement village in Somerset West. With your exceptional cleaning skills and attention to detail, you will ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout all areas of the facility
• Cleaning designated areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom cleaning
• Performing routine inspections and documenting any issues or concerns
• Carrying out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed
• Ensuring walkways remain clear and free of debris
• Notifying management of any required repairs or maintenance

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of three years' experience in cleaning or a related field
• An excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities

This is a full-time position, working 16.25 shifts per month on a roster basis, Monday to Sunday. Shifts typically run from 07:00 to 19:00, with Sundays and public holidays attracting overtime pay. You can expect a competitive salary, ranging from R5,300.00 per month, based on your experience, qualifications, and performance. In addition to your basic salary, you may also receive quarterly bonuses, subject to company performance and individual contribution.
