Job Description:

The Assistant Financial Director will oversee the entire financial function, including the preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. They will also be responsible for managing the company's financial risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior financial role, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. A BCom (Hons) Accounting degree is mandatory, along with proficiency in IFRS and ability to apply within the JG Afrika accounting process.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the financial department and provide strategic guidance on financial matters
  2. Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial accounts
  3. Manage the payables process and administer relationships with bank partners
  4. Reconcile fixed asset schedules to trial balance
  5. Draft annual financial statements using CaseWare
