Your Mission

As a Project Development Lead at Partnerup (Pty) Ltd, you will spearhead the development of renewable energy projects from concept to Ready-to-Build (RTB) status, focusing on the permitting process.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
  1. Developing and implementing project development strategies from greenfield to RTB, emphasizing land assessment, permitting, and technical feasibility.
  2. Applying your expertise in renewable energy (solar, wind, and energy storage) to ensure successful project execution and mitigate challenges.
  3. Providing expert guidance and support to team members, empowering them to manage and deliver projects efficiently in international markets.
  4. Directing renewable energy (RES) processes, mainly through the permitting stage.
  5. Collaborating with and leading a team of 5-15 technical and administrative specialists based locally and abroad in various locations.
  6. Conducting thorough analyses of the renewable energy landscape in selected markets.
  7. Supporting business development initiatives.
  8. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with local stakeholders.
  9. Overseeing RES projects in conjunction with local & foreign partners and the development office in Poland.
  10. Contributing to the company's growth and development.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in RES project documentation (all stages to RTB).
  2. Experience with the permitting process for RES projects, including interactions with local administration.
  3. Strong knowledge of the RES industry (with a focus on large-scale PV and wind projects), and experience with hydrogen projects as a plus.
  4. Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  5. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work across time zones and flexibility to work outside standard hours.
Ideally, You Will Have:
  1. Managerial / leadership experience in project development or management.
  2. Experience working in or with a remote team.
  3. Understanding of cultural differences in international markets.
  4. Willingness to travel occasionally for business.
  5. Driving License.
