Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Production Line Specialist to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating simulation models for automotive production lines using Simio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production line dynamics, and lean manufacturing principles. You will work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to understand requirements and objectives, and present simulation results and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop simulation models for automotive production lines using Simio
  • Analyze production data to inform simulation model parameters
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in production lines
  • Interpret simulation results to provide actionable insights and recommendations for process improvements
  • Work effectively in a team environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • 3 years plus of post-graduate experience in developing and implementing simulation models for manufacturing processes, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Proficiency in using simulation software such as Simio (experience with other simulation tools like Arena, FlexSim, or AnyLogic is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production line dynamics, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods
