Key Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions: Accurately and efficiently process customer purchases using our point-of-sale system.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions: Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring proper change is given and receipts are issued.
  • Assist customers: Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to the appropriate pharmacy staff if needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area: Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, including stocking and restocking shelves near the register.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy: Ensure pricing accuracy and manage refunds or exchanges according to store policies.
  • Count and reconcile daily cash receipts: Assist in counting daily cash receipts and reconciling them with sales records.
  • Follow pharmacy policies and procedures: Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures regarding the sale of restricted products.
  • Provide excellent customer service: Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Math skills: Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Communication skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills to assist customers.
  • Point-of-sale experience: Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Work environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail: Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and product sales.
  • Trustworthiness: Trustworthiness and reliability, especially when handling money.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or in customer service (preferred).
