About This Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer (Tailings) to join their team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality results on tailings engineering projects and providing expert advice and guidance to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Providing technical support to junior engineers on tailings engineering projects;
  2. Developing and maintaining expertise in geotechnical investigations and soil mechanics;
  3. Conducting site visits to assess geotechnical conditions;
  4. Leading project teams to deliver high-quality results;
  5. Maintaining high levels of proficiency in CPTu testing, interpretation, and conducting geotechnical investigations;
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering;
  • 7-10 years of experience in tailings engineering;
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer;
  • Fluency in spoken English;
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
