About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) team at Numata. As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in monitoring and investigating security alerts, detecting malicious activity, and responding to incidents in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and investigate security alerts to detect malicious activity at our clients
  • Perform in-depth analysis of security alerts using Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
  • Respond to and triage identified malicious activity, implementing remediation actions or escalating as necessary
  • Communicate with clients through the lifecycle of security investigations, providing clear and concise written feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure effective incident response and resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to ensure proactive management and remediation of potential security vulnerabilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures
  • Participate in internal meetings and events to share knowledge and best practices
Requirements
  • Intuitive problem-solving and investigation skills
  • Familiarity with network and endpoint security principles, current threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends
  • Working knowledge of security frameworks such as Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
