Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Logicalis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise cloud, managed private clouds, and managed services customer environments.

You will perform routine maintenance, test failover and backup, and implement best practices to maintain server, storage, network, and hypervisor availability at the highest level. As a senior member of the team, you will also participate in high-impact, high-urgency incidents and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain service availability for customers by performing routine maintenance, failover testing, and implementing best practices.
  • Perform project-related duties with regards to new and changing infrastructure deployments.
  • Regularly update customers on progress of incidents, problems, and changes via telephone and email.
  • Update the Logicalis ticketing system with quality notes detailing progress and actions completed on open incidents, problems, and change requests.
  • Complete customer Change Requests, including impact and risk analysis, and implement out-of-hours work when required.
  • Provide technical consultancy to other areas of the business to ensure the integrity, performance, and support of new opportunities involving Platform and Compute Support.
  • Offer senior technical assistance on customer incidents when Tier 1 skills have exhausted resolution attempts.
  • Find technical solutions to problems where necessary and practical without compromising commercial viability.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience working with VMware vSphere 6.x – 8.x, Microsoft Hyper-V, enterprise storage (Dell, HPE, IBM, EMC, Huawei, Hitachi), SAN Fabric Switches (Brocade and Cisco), and server hardware support (Dell, HP, IBM).
  • Azure IAAS experience is essential, while Azure AVD, Synology Storage, Windows Server administration, Linux administration, Veeam Backup, Commvault (Metallic), PCI-DSS compliance, and scripting knowledge (PowerShell, PowerCLI) are desirable.
