The Screening Media Operations Technician will be responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machines used in production processes, including the operation of open cast machines (Polyurethane). The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate in Boilermaking, a Grade 12 certificate, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar field.

Responsibilities

">
  1. Set up, calibrate, and operate open cast machines (Polyurethane) following established procedures.
  2. Select, measure, and prepare raw materials and parts to meet production specifications.
  3. Read technical drawings and build and set up moulds as required for production processes.
  4. Ensure the safe use of tools and equipment in the working area.
  5. Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
  6. Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products.
  7. Resolve production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging issues as they arise.
  8. Perform minor machine troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and cleaning.
  9. Complete Works Orders and provide accurate KPI information.
  10. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with 5S standards.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying potential problems and proposing solutions.
  12. Perform additional tasks as required.

Requirements

  1. Grade 12 certificate.
  2. Trade certificate - Boilermaker.
  3. Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar field.
  4. Substantial experience within injection moulding and polyurethane moulding industry.
