Senior Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Draftsman to join our team at LovettCo. This role involves creating detailed joinery drawings and technical plans using AutoCAD and SketchUp.

• Create accurate and detailed drawings for joinery and cabinetry projects.
• Develop and manage cutting lists for manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Assist in ordering materials and supplies based on project requirements and cutting lists.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure precision and compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to track the status of orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain organized project documentation and update any changes in design or materials.

• Minimum 3 years of drafting experience, with a focus on joinery and cabinetry design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp for creating accurate and detailed drawings.
• General computer skills with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to develop and understand cutting lists and their use in production.
• Knowledge of materials and processes used in joinery and cabinetry work.
• Detail-oriented with a technical mindset and strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Self-starter with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must own a laptop to start work remotely before transitioning to an onsite position.
• Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to joinery.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new tools and processes.
• Proficiency in English (Afrikaans advantageous).
