  • Key Responsibilities:
    • The QS will prepare cost analysis based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labour involved.
    • Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
    • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and negotiate where appropriate.
    • Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
    • Monitor project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
