As a key member of our process engineering department, you will be responsible for developing and designing processes for expansion projects, ensuring that they are optimized for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

  • We are looking for someone with at least 8 years of experience within the mining industry, specifically in mineral processing. A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process designs into the overall project plan, analyze and optimize existing processes, and identify and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Your technical expertise will enable you to monitor and evaluate process performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • You will also provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases to resolve process-related issues and challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design processes for expansion projects, including flow sheets, mass and energy balances, and process simulations.
  • Ensure that process designs are optimized for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate process designs into the overall project plan.
  • Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and reliability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and technological upgrades to enhance plant performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate process performance using KPIs and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases to resolve process-related issues and challenges.

Education and Experience:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience within the mining industry, specifically in mineral processing.
