We're looking for an In-house Upholsterer to join our team at The Bay Hotel, nestled in the heart of Camps Bay. With the majestic Twelve Apostle Mountain range as a backdrop and the Atlantic Ocean just a stone's throw away, this stunning property offers a unique opportunity to enhance your skills.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining and elevating the aesthetic appeal and comfort of our guest accommodations and public areas. As an In-House Upholsterer, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and customizing upholstery on furniture and fixtures, ensuring seamless integration with our luxury brand standards.

You will work closely with our property management and maintenance teams to address upholstery needs, from routine repairs to specialized refurbishments. Your contributions will significantly impact the creation of a welcoming and stylish environment that reflects our commitment to excellence.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A proven track record as an Upholsterer, with a diverse portfolio showcasing a range of upholstered furniture projects.
• Proficiency in various upholstery techniques, including fabric cutting, sewing, and stapling.
• An excellent understanding of different fabrics, materials, and their suitability for various furniture types.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of the job.
