**Job Title:** Refrigeration Technician

**Company Overview:** Paqueta Personnel, a well-established recruitment agency based in South Africa, is seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician to join their team.

**Salary:** R600,000 - R800,000 per annum

**Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate refrigeration plants with minimal downtime and optimal energy usage.
  • Ensure the safety of all personnel through adherence to safe practices.
  • Overhaul compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers.
  • Construct small and medium-sized refrigeration plants.
Requirements:
  • Artisan Industrial Refrigeration Trade Test or equivalent qualification with relevant training and experience.
  • 7 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration plants and relevant equipment.
  • Working knowledge of food processing freezers and equipment utilizing refrigeration.
  • 5 years of experience in Freon refrigeration systems, including air conditioning systems (services and installation).
  • Certified to work in ammonia refrigeration plants.
  • Familiar with different types of ice plants.
  • Working knowledge of slurry plants.
  • Must be criminal clear and reside on the West Coast or willing to relocate to Langebaan / Vredenburg / Saldanha.
