The Ikwezi Mining team is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our organization. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide advice to line managers on conduct and misconduct management.
- Investigate and process disciplinary cases, providing guidance to line managers as needed.
- Counsel line managers on effective delivery of disciplinary hearings.
- Represent the organization at conciliation and arbitration proceedings.
- E nsure that the resourcing process is followed, with jobs advertised in a timely manner and tracked across various channels.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes as required.
- Coach line managers on performance management and talent review processes.
- Coordinate performance appraisal documents and consolidate performance ratings.
- Drive succession planning initiatives.
- Facilitate employment equity target setting and monitoring.
- Liaise with line managers to gather rationale for proposed positions, develop new organizational structures, and submit these for approval.
- Lead change management initiatives aligned with business and organizational objectives.
- Conduct training needs and skills gap analyses, assisting in the compilation of training budgets and plans.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute relevant training initiatives.
- Deliver HR training, including refresher sessions for employees and line managers.
- Assist with reporting, analysis, and submission of the workplace skills plan and annual training report for relevant SETAs.
- Implement and track Skills Development legislative requirements, including Skills Development Plans, Annual Training Reports, and Learnerships.
Our ideal candidate has a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with 3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role. They possess strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to handle confidential information discreetly, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are also essential. Proficiency in HR Information Systems and the MS Office suite is necessary.
