Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright to join our team at Staff Solutions Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to various equipment and machinery within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Improvements: Identify opportunities to increase efficiency by implementing improvements to existing machinery and tools.
  • A3 Problem Solving: Collaborate with the production team to eliminate waste and improve production through the effective use of A3 problem-solving techniques.
  • 5S Implementation: Implement and maintain 5S principles in the area of responsibility, adhering to the 5S Audit Sheet guidelines.
  • SHEMS Compliance: Ensure adherence to all SHEMS procedures and regulations.
  • Quality of Repair: Maintain high-quality repair standards, with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Identify and repair equipment malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent future issues.
  • Calibration: Perform calibrations as required, ensuring accuracy and precision in equipment operation.
  • Process Improvement: Drive and implement actions to improve processes within the plant maintenance department.
Requirements:
  • Millwright Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright, with a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Proven experience working within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintenance Functions: Strong experience in maintenance functions, including routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Quality Focus: A strong focus on quality, with a proven track record of maintaining high-quality repair standards.
  • Qualifications: Qualified Millwright with a Matric certification.
