Machinist Technician

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Profile Personnel. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Eastern Cape.

Job Summary:

• Operate and maintain CNC milling machines, wire cutters, and other equipment to manufacture components.
• Develop prototypes, verify tests/trials, and manufacture tools to required specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maximize machine uptime and minimize downtime through efficient maintenance and operation.
• Optimize CNC programs to reduce cycle times and improve productivity.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Solve technical issues with CNC machines and programs promptly and effectively.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of CNC Machines, including Fanuc controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Technical drawing software packages (e.g., Mastercam, viscam, AutoCAD).
• Experience operating CNC milling machines and programming G-code & Mastercam.
• Ability to use basic measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometre, dial indicator) and read engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Master cam experience essential (minimum 3 years).
