Investment Director

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and grow our Investments and Fund Management Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate investment management, with a focus on delivering strategic outcomes, driving financial performance, and building relationships with financiers and investors.

• Strategic Leadership: Define and manage the strategic outcomes of the Investments and Fund Management Division, collaborating with senior leadership to develop new property investment products and establish strategic relationships with financiers.
• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including financial performance evaluation, stakeholder relationship management, and leading a team of investment professionals, ensuring governance, compliance, and performance monitoring of investments.
• Financial & Investment Management: Source and evaluate real estate investment opportunities, manage the performance of investments through their life cycle, and prepare detailed reports for investors and manage compliance with shareholder agreements.
• Specific Funds Oversight: Manage platforms targeting high IRRs, ensuring they meet their investment and financial objectives, source equity, maintain relationships with investors, and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Investments and Fund Management team, setting key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring they achieve both divisional and company objectives.

• Education: Honors Degree in Business, Finance, or Property Studies, with a CA (SA) or CFA qualification advantageous.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in real estate investment management, including 2 years in project development, with strong financial modeling capabilities and a deep understanding of property management and building components.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to travel for market analysis and new investment opportunities.
