Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Acumen Resources Development (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all accounting records, preparing financial reporting packs, and consolidating accounts for various entities.

About the Role
  • Responsible for the maintenance, posting, recording, and integrity of all accounting records.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting packs and their submission to the group finance and corporate controller.
  • Present the monthly management reporting pack to the EXCO team during review calls.
Key Responsibilities
  1. General responsibility for the posting, recording, and maintenance of all accounting records.
  2. Assist in the preparation of local entity annual budget (SGA) and any re-forecasting exercises as required.
  3. Reconcile all general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  4. Prepare and handle petty cash requirements for expenses.
  5. Send cash reports daily.
  6. Bank reconciliation of all banks is to be reviewed weekly.
  7. Daily postings to broker accounts.
  8. Monthly reconciliation of all broker accounts to broker statements.
  9. Review booking of expense entries in the accounting software after obtaining approval.
  10. Maintain control over supplier reconciliations and ensure timely remittance of vendor invoices and payments.
  11. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  12. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested.
  13. Weekly forex exposure and working capital reports.
  14. Verify vendor banking details by making follow-up calls.
  15. TDS monthly reconciliations and submissions.
