Senior Draughtsperson

We are seeking a skilled Draughtsperson with experience in AutoCAD and a strong background in designing steel structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for various steel components, including steel walkways, grating, pipe balustrades, trench covers, structures, stair treads, minimesh, and handrails.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure accurate designs that meet project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD for steel walkways, trench covers, handrails, balustrades, stair treads, and other structural components.

Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Interpret and incorporate design feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.

Produce accurate and clear fabrication and assembly drawings.

Modify designs based on site measurements, material specifications, and client requirements.

Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and cost estimates for steel fabrication projects.

Collaborate with the engineering team to review and refine project designs for manufacturability and installation.

Work with fabricators and site teams to resolve any issues related to design or installation.

Maintain and organize design documentation and ensure all revisions are updated.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD with experience in steel-related design.

Proven experience in drafting steel structures such as walkways, grating, balustrades, handrails, trench covers, stair treads, and minimesh.

Strong understanding of fabrication and construction processes, particularly for steel components.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.

Relevant certifications in AutoCAD are highly desirable.
