About the RoleWest Coast Personnel is seeking a skilled Trade Specialist to join our team in Carpentry Education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct classes as per qualification requirements, ensuring students meet the necessary standards.
- Organize curricular activities that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and record learner achievements, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Manage learning resources effectively, ensuring their availability and accessibility.
- Monitor student work placements, maintaining open communication with stakeholders.
- Report student performance regularly, highlighting areas of strength and weakness.
- Record absenteeism, addressing any concerns promptly and fairly.
- Establish a positive classroom environment, promoting inclusivity and respect.
- Utilize various strategies to enhance learning outcomes, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Provide clear, concise assessment results, ensuring transparency and fairness.
- Collaborate with colleagues to adjust curriculum content, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate assessment records, adhering to quality assurance guidelines.
- Communicate assessment outcomes clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Promote program integrity and confidentiality, respecting students' personal information.
- National Diploma or N6 Certificate in Carpentry or a relevant qualification.
- Artisan qualification, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience, showcasing leadership skills and ability to facilitate learning.
- Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office packages and Management Information Systems.
- Registration with NAMB as an assessor and moderator is advantageous, indicating commitment to professional development.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine.
SalaryRoundly estimated at R120,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role within our organization.
