Food and Beverage Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Operations Manager to join our team at Red Carnation Hotels.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in overseeing the food and beverage operations of our luxury hotel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and service.
You will work closely with our Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation, as well as develop new menu concepts to enhance the guest experience. Your expertise in inventory management, stock control, and cost control will be essential in maintaining profitability within the department.
In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team of chefs, servers, bartenders, and other hospitality professionals. A strong focus on customer satisfaction, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence will be expected in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- To oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, including menu planning, ingredient purchasing, and inventory management.
- To ensure that all food safety and hygiene standards are met, and that our kitchen team adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- To manage and develop a high-performing team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, providing coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance and productivity.
- To work closely with our front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery, including communication, coordination, and problem-solving.
- To analyze sales data, identify trends, and make recommendations for menu changes, pricing, and promotions to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Proven track record of success in managing food and beverage operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs.
- Degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
