Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Consultant to join our team at Job Crystal. As an Underwriting Consultant, you will provide underwriting assistance to our advisers, focusing on commercial lines and transport business.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients and advisers to understand their insurance needs
  • Preparing quotations for commercial lines and transport insurance
  • Issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements
  • Maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Recording details and information on our relevant systems

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in short-term insurance, specifically in commercial lines and transport insurance
  • NQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short-term insurance) as set by regulation
  • Regulatory examination 1 (Representatives) RE5 successfully completed
  • DOFA confirmation from FSCA
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good administration skills
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Time management skills
  • Resilient with a good level of stress tolerance
  • Highly client focused with good interpersonal skills

Salary:

This is a market-related salary position.
