Role Summary

The Equity Market Manager will be responsible for managing our JV Equity Swaps derivatives book, including reporting and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market risk and global markets, with 1-4 years' experience in a similar role.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Manage daily book operations, ensuring the book is sufficiently hedged, managing corporate actions, stock borrow, funding requirements, etc.
  2. Generate daily reports of expected P&L on trade date and sign-off of P&L on trade date +1.
  3. Implement daily attributions down to component level of each product to provide greater insight into fundamentals of each book.
  4. Identify process efficiencies with Trading Operations Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related Commerce discipline.
  • Advantageous: Registered persons, JSE Exams, Technology, and/or Data Analytics skills.
  • 1-4 years' experience in Market Risk, Global Markets, or related Financial Risk functions beneficial.
