Job Description:

RNB Placements requires a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to ensure the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and contractors within the workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective security operations and access control measures.

  • Develop and maintain Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment programs.
  • Liaise with emergency services to ensure prompt response.
  • Ensure compliance with Integrated Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk, and Quality ISO System standards.
  • Collaborate with the HSE department to achieve best practices and standards.
  • Oversee site safety and environmental meetings and standards.
  • Manage contractor relationships and ensure compliance.
  • Deliver training, awareness, and induction sessions.
  • Support the Food Defense team in their activities.
  • Comply with OSHACT and ISO14001 related standards.
  • Monitor and reduce non-conformances.
  • Optimize and improve HSE systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to minimize incidents.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response plans.
  • Adhere to relevant HSE policies, procedures, and SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
  • Relevant National Diploma or Degree preferred.
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation and risk control standards.
  • Familiarity with Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and facilitate.
  • Strong investigative and initiating skills.
  • Capability to perform risk assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Influence management to adopt risk management strategies.
  • Networking skills to engage stakeholders.
  • Influencing/motivational skills.
  • Leadership skills.
