Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Teaching and Learning Specialist at MANCOSA. The successful candidate will provide academic leadership, teaching, and facilitate learning within the English language specialisation.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • To deliver engaging and effective lectures to students.
  • To design and develop course materials that meet the needs of learners.
  • To assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • To collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement academic programs.
  • To stay up-to-date with developments in the field of English language teaching and learning.

Requirements:
  • A Master's Degree in the specialisation area and working towards a related PhD.
  • At least 2/3 years lecturing experience; lecturing English First language.
  • Experience in Inclusive Education, Gender Studies or School Governance.
  • School based teaching experience, teaching CAPS.
  • Demonstrate research engagement over the last 3 years.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.

Additional Requirements:

Driver's licence required for Work Integrated Learning.
