We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tax Lecturer to join our team at the University of Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing in Taxation at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, as well as academic administration and management.

Responsibilities

  • Lecturing in Taxation, including curriculum development and delivery;
  • Managing academic programs, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences;
  • Conducting research and publishing in accredited academic journals;
  • Supervising students, providing guidance and support;
  • Participating in departmental and faculty activities, contributing to decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Taxation (from a finance perspective) or equivalent qualifications;
  • Demonstrated teaching potential and experience, including ability to design and deliver engaging lectures;
  • At least 2 accredited publications and/or equivalent recognised scholarly outputs;
  • Experience in supervising students and conducting research;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with colleagues and students;
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
