Job Responsibilities
  • To perform duties diligently in compliance with statutory and company requirements while being aware of the impact of your activities on the safety of yourself and others.
  • Execute duties in accordance with the plant Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk & Quality Management Scheme (SHERQ).
  • Develop High Standard Visual Critical Control Process Boards which are easy for all to understand using Statistical Process Control or other suitable tools, with particular emphasis on Step Zero specification and conformity to achieve a CpK target of > 1.33.
  • Clearly define and action all out of specification material using defined non-conformance processes.
  • Define all critical process control points and analyze any issues outside the process down to the root cause, instituting effective corrective and preventative measures.
  • Ensure all product specifications are up to date with the latest process improvements and that Workshop Quality boards are audited for compliance.
  • Manage projects to support process optimization and new product developments.
  • Assist the Quality Lab Supervisor in investigating Customer Complaints to determine root cause analysis (RCA) and provide disposition feedback.
  • Monitor and analyze data as required, providing data on a day-to-day basis to improve Product Quality within the Operational Workshops.
  • Audit requirements on a day-to-day basis, focusing primarily on Product Quality within the Plant with External and Internal Defects in mind.
Role Objective

The role's objective is to develop and introduce Quality control and process improvements using the tools within the Q&PC Pillar, linking through to Step Zero of WCM (World Class Manufacturing). Your primary objective will be to improve the production performance KPIs, focusing on key areas of yield loss and cost reduction. You will also be involved in WCM projects within the Plant that link to Product Quality and cover for the Senior Process Engineer as required. These tasks must be undertaken in an efficient and safe manner, meeting H&S legislation, company policy, and management rules.
